Parachutes

Seriously. Parachutes is, at least to me anyway - the best album this side of the millenium.
There are loads of really good ones, some that might make my desert island top 5 on a good day but parachutes is just so freakin good. X+Y and A Rush Of Blood... are awsome but they can't hold a candle to the total unpretentiousness of Coldplays debut.

Desert Island Top 5 records as it stands now (in no paticular order)
Coldplay - Parachutes
Queen - Best Of..Vol. 2
Counting Crows - This Desert Life
Manic Street Preachers - This Is My Truth...
Oasis - Whats The Story? (Morning Glory)

Also, ran a PB time of 12.22 for my mile and a half run yesterday morning, crossed the finish at 0558BST and as of this morning I'm 18st9lbs (261lbs).
We finished 4th in the pub quiz, but the bar-flys (the evil pub quiz team of death) only came third..for the first time since time began.

I talked with a mate about my top 5 earlier today and realised that I'd forgotten Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette so yeah..I'm bumping The Manics to make room for her. And my music taste rocks. you know it.

They were playing X&Y in Barnes and Noble the other day, and it made me kind of glad I didn't instinctively buy it when I first saw it was out. Chris Martin sounds too whiny to me lately. But I love Parachutes and sometimes A Rush of Blood to the Head.
